From an early stage in his career, Doug exhibited a profound understanding of the complexities inherent in sales cycles and technical solutions. Doug attended Ohio State University from 1984 to 1987. He then took a break from his education due to a medical issue. He then returned to his education in 1991 and ultimately graduated from the University of Toledo in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Business, where he honed critical skills that became the foundation of his professional journey. Armed with a thorough knowledge of enterprise software and a natural aptitude for negotiating and closing deals, he entered the workforce with a competitive edge.  

Professional Trajectory

Doug’s career took off in the late 1990s when he joined Baan, the second-largest enterprise resource processing software company in the United States, as an Assistant Vice President. Between 1998 and 2001, he excelled in enterprise software sales and took on team leadership roles, ultimately rising to the top of the sales and consultation division. His results-driven ethos and strategic mindset led to significant breakthroughs in sales performance during his tenure.

Following his success at Baan, Doug transitioned to Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, where he served as a Business Development Senior Manager from 2001 to 2003. He was entrusted with various responsibilities in this role, including software implementation and management consulting. His commitment to excellence and strategic account planning significantly contributed to the firm’s success during a critical period of growth.

In 2004, Doug joined IBM as an Enterprise Software Sales Manager, where he oversaw North America’s Business Unit for the Infosphere Solutions portfolio. He specialized in master data management and information integration, solidifying his reputation as a leading expert in the field. His ability to navigate complex business landscapes and deliver tangible results made him an invaluable asset to the team.

In mid-2007, Doug took on the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Vendita Management Services, leading a team of Oracle Certified Partner experts dedicated to selling ERP, CRM, and 

technology software products. During his two-year tenure, he maintained client relationships and developed strategic market plans that further solidified Vendita’s place in the industry.

Leadership at Vendita Corporation and Vendita.AI

In January 2010, Doug Sullinger was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Vendita Corporation, a company born out of a partnership between technical experts from Oracle and IBM. Under his leadership, Vendita has emerged as a trusted name in the industry, bolstered by strategic partnerships with prominent firms such as Oracle, IBM, Gartner, and Dun & Bradstreet. Doug’s forward-thinking approach and innovative drive have enabled the firm to offer cutting-edge technological solutions, thereby enhancing the capabilities of its clients.

In addition to his role at Vendita Corporation, Doug serves as the Chief Executive OƯicer of Vendita.AI. The company aims to employ advanced AI technologies to streamline operations, enhance decision-making processes, and drive growth, specifically within the CRE sector. Outside of his professional commitments, Doug is deeply invested in his community. He finds immense joy in coaching children’s sports, where he strives to instill essential values such as teamwork, discipline, hard work, and commitment in young athletes.
